into to permaculture class

An introductory class on permaculture as it applies to Nevada County home owners, land owners, gardeners and farmers.

An introduction to Permaculture and how it applies to the home, garden, farm, homestead or landscape.

Learn what permaculture is and some of the tools often used such as soil building, water harvesting, ecological gardens and more. Learn how humans relate to ecology and how we can move through life in ways that are symbiotic with the environment. Gain an understanding of what regenerative systems look like and how we can create them locally by adjusting our approach to the home and landscape.

The class covers the basic principles of permaculture and how it is similar to and different from traditional sustainability, organic gardening, construction and landscape design. Topics such as water harvesting earthworks, drought tolerance, soil restoration, passive solar, regenerative ecology and more will be used to paint a picture of a efficient permaculture site modeled after natural systems.
