The part about mulch being a soil killer really intrigued me (and confused me). What’s the deal on not putting mulch around trees? And how is that different from putting mulch around your crops and plants to suppress weeds. Would it be better to just put grasses down instead of mulch? Mark Shepard made it seem like the soil would be worst off and cave in with mulch. But mulch has been a practice in much of the lessons and even in that one Youtube video based in the UK. I’m blanking on his name. Same unit as the Ruth No work garden.

It would let me add this 2nd part of my question: What has been your experience with Yeoman’s book? It didn’t seem like Mark was a fan.

{HHA Coach} Each mulching scenario can be different & affect environment in various ways. It’s best to understand different types of mulching and figure out whether or not it’s a good fit for you in your space. Not all mulching is created equal!

Is there another video which explain it better than this? I would be happy to get what he is talking about because looks very important. Thank you

You miss so much from when it sounds like he’s pointing to different points on the pictures or showing other things and pictures to his live audience.
